When I started this blog, I was determined to make it more useful and less of a 'personal diary & set of opinions'.
This still holds true so, although I have accepted the challenge to get into reasonable shape for the London to Paris in 24 Hours in July I thought perhaps I could use it for a record of how my physiology responds to training and what training it is responding to...
Having just come to the end of a 'block of training' and having an enforced rest at a conference for a couple of days, now could be a good time to start the record.

The general aim is to improve through training over the next 7 months, to finish the challenge within in the set time, whilst raising a decent amount of money for a very worthy cause.
